About us

About us

Polio Quebec is a non-profit organization (NPO). It is thanks to its members' dues, donations and a grant from the Ministère de la Santé et des Services Sociaux (MSSS) that the Polio Quebec Association is able to disseminate information and offer services to its members and to all victims of Post-Polio Syndrome (PPS). On an ad hoc basis, the Office des personnes handicapées du Québec (OPHQ) also supports specific projects such as the redesign of the website and the 25th anniversary celebration.

Medical Advisors

The Association benefits from the constant support of a resource from the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital who acts as a medical advisor to the Board of Directors, without being a member. Since 1998, Dr. Daria Trojan has shared her expertise with us and maintains our connection to the Post-Polio Clinic team. In 2014, Ann Robinson stepped down from the board to take on the role of the second medical advisor.
